I'm Melissa Hartzel, a professional make-up and hair artist trained at The London Academy of Media, Charles Fox and MAC. I work in print, fashion, television and film and am trained in special effects and transvestite make-up. I am available for appearances on TV and at events as a make-up presenter and have recently appeared as a guest presenter on Ideal World, Sky channel 644, representing the Makebelieve brand.

I am fully CRB checked and have public liability insurance.

TEACHING: I am also an experienced tutor of make-up and hair, and I specialise in teaching corporate professionals how to create a smart and sophisticated appearance. By using the right make-up application and colours, and by wearing hair in certain styles, individuals can increase the likelihood of being taken seriously in the workplace and in turn may further their career. Previous to becoming a make-up artist I worked for twelve years as an actor and model so it is also a passion of mine to teach actors, models and performing arts students how to apply their make-up for auditions, castings and performances, including the use of theatrical, character and drag make-up. Schools I have taught at include the UK Film School, Lady Indigo and Drama Dynamics.
